Erin Powell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 6 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents and families who have experienced trauma, loss and attachment disruptions. Erin received her undergraduate degree in Social Work at James Madison University in Virginia, and her Masters of Science in Social Work with a certificate in trauma treatment from the University of Tennessee in Nashville.
Her previous experience includes serving in foster care/adoption, crisis pregnancy, trafficking survivor care and public school settings. She has worked with individuals of varying ages impacted by physical abuse, sexual abuse, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, bullying, domestic violence and other traumas.
Erin has received specialized training and utilizes the treatment modalities of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment, Self- Regulation and competency framework (ARC), Theraplay ® activities, sand tray therapy, art therapy and elements of play therapy.
When not in the office, Erin enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, drinking local coffee and quality time with her friends and community.
Erin is available for appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
